Seeing as how they’ve been ignoring it for years, I really don’t see why it will drop a cliff edge in the next few months.

It is currently taking over 40 weeks to become an ADI in Ireland, so how does this spoofer thinking it’ll be down to 10 in a matter of months?

    3. There are only two ways that happens:

      1. Give all current learners their full license today

      2. Ban all driving forever

Just after I passed after waiting 8 months for my first test, lovely

    5. I booked my test today, or more specifically got put on the waiting list for my local test centre.
My estimated wait time is mid-February. Not sure how the government are going to pair down the wait times to ten weeks when by the time autumn hits, i’ll still be waiting months more.

I applied last week my estimated wait time is 7 months. It will be autumn by then alright.

    7. Remember that time they said the childrens hospital would be open in 2024 come hell or high water, a few months later they were like oh no actually April 2025 and whats it now, sometime in 2026?

Was it always like this? I mean the waiting times…

I’m from Derry and I done my test there, albeit I had to do it 4 times but I still had my licence within a month.

Wife currently on the wait list in Dun Laoghaire and I’ve never seen anything like it. Joined the list in October 2024… She has an international licence, been driving for 18 years, but as her home country isn’t on the exchange list, she had to get in line.

I think we should have a Joe Duffy style phone line for people trying to get their learners license and we get to vote on who we want to be top of the queue
