Gorse is great until it’s in your garden, then it’s an absolute nightmare. It turns the soil acidic, the seeds can be dormant for years before sprouting, and it’s near impossible to kill. I have a big patch of it and I’ve been battling it for 6 years. It’s second only to bracken as my worst garden enemy 😀
