Huh.
I saw one picture in an article about this where there were US, Turkish and Ukrainian flags in that order. I wondered where were the Russian flags.
Now, in this picture I see Ukrainian, Turkish and Russian flags.
The room layout is the same, so they must have changed the flags.
Edit: separate meetings, I guess? Between US and UKR, and then between UKR and RU delegations, with Turkish in middle.

Surely the market is ripe for a ‘Putin is a pussy’ T-shirt? They could be designed and printed in Istanbul before this useless session wraps up for the day.

Not a single Russian looking at the Ukrainians. At least three or four of the Ukrainians are giving them the hairy eyeball.
Can’t imagine the optics are great hosting this in, what looks to be, a wedding venue.
Russia isn’t interested in peace, just in generating lies and propaganda. They use “peace talks” only as a way to attempt to gain some freebies without having to spend military resources to get it. If they can get it through talks, then they can spend more military resources to gain even more later.
As such, all peace talks with Russia are pointless until Russia has reached a point where it cannot afford to continue the war. But if Russia reaches that point, then there is no reason for peace talks, as Ukraine can simply push Russia out of Ukraine. Peace talks would be just a Russian attempt to hold onto territory that it knows it would lose otherwise.
Which means that all peace talks with Russia are pointless until Russia has been driven out of all of Ukraine.

Don’t give the Russians anything. They need to go home, full stop.
Can safely ignore these meetings, but Ukrainians have to sit through it anyway just to make a point to the old & confused orange man.

Probably nothing will happen, russia cant let ukraine join nato or eu, also russia cant give back crimea. What i think should happen is just creating russian puppet on thr border and then ukraine can do whatever they want.

Russia is not interested in ending the war and Putin knows very well why.
If Russia stops the war it will collapse economically and today Russia can only survive in war economy and constant wars or else kaput for him.
