      Remind me what % of Irish Internet traffic is from Bots again?

      Edit: and no, I’m not in anyway suggesting the CSO is untrustworthy. It’s not and given how it’s run is unlikely to be. Wtf?

      A nation losing faith in its institutions is never a good thing. It either means:

      – they’re right, the institutions shouldn’t be trusted.

      Or

      – they’re wrong. The institutions are trustworthy but people refuse to believe the truth.

      Neither is a good thing.

      There are 3 kinds of lies:

      * lies
      * damned lies
      * Statistics

      I don’t understand why an institution tasked with presenting data is using Ionic columns next to human silhouettes to show information clearly.

      I do respect them. Just not their choice of chart iconography.

      Only a matter of time before a far right party comes along and gathers steam by the looks

      Democracy is an ongoing battle that’s never won. There’s always new people and groups that come along trying to tear it down.

      I always count myself lucky to have been born here.

      Unfortunately I’ve gotten downvoted on this sub before by that 25% for citing the census before.

      The CSO needs to start putting stat breakdowns in 10 second reels with Temple Run playing in one half to keep the average member of the public engaged.

      I would say the cso does a pretty good job actually. I’d go so far to say it shows the governments failures and problems more accurately than rte ever did.
