So che dirai solo un trailer, ma queste cose sono fantastiche per i piccoli oggetti quando non vuoi collegare un trailer. Non riesco proprio a vedere come funzionerebbero con il sistema di gancio in stile svedese. Qualcuno qui lo sa?

    1. They exist, and are legal if they follow certain rules. The one you show looks to be a bit too weak to be legal in Sweden. [Heckpack](https://heck-pack.se/) is one brand that is very popular.

They use a clamp that secures around the 50 mm ball of of the hitch. Can carry up to 80 kg or so (depending on what weight on the hitch the car is registered for).

They probably exist but are rarely seen here I would say. Most ppl here mount extra storage on the roof instead.

Yes, they are common, especially amongst hunters. Heck-pack is very popular brand.

They’re legal, but highly unusual. You see them sometimes for hunters that don’t want to transport their stuff inside the vehicle and don’t want to use a trailer.

Known as a “transportkorg” or “packåsna” (burro/donkey) they use a specific mechanism that hooks onto the ball joint. They don’t handle as much cargo as some other trailer systems, but 100-150kg is fine.

    5. Never seen one and it looks unsafe. Also covers the license plate which is illegal.

    6. >I just can’t see how they would work with the Swedish style hitch system.

Do cars manufactured for the Swedish market come with a hitch system that is different to other countries? Or am I missing something?

I’m definitely not a car person so there could be something I’m missing, but it just sounded like a strange statement.

Common with hunters, but the covered one is more common for non-hunting use.

For any car-transporting solution there is a Swedish brand, Thule, which is the “go to” brand for checking out these things. If it goes on a typical Swedish car (within regulations) they likely make a version of it, e.g. https://www.thule.com/sv-se/cargo-carrier/towbar-cargo-carriers

In one link here I saw that the Thule one cost 15000SEK.
Isn’t it cheaper and more practical to buy a small trailer?

Oh, it’s for hunters? I saw a Fisker (ev) with one a few weeks ago and was wondering what it was.

Hooking up a trailer is not really inconvenient, it is the storage of a trailer that is (or can be) inconvenient. That is the sweet spot for these, small and easier to store if all you have is a one-car-garage, giving you a modest amount more storage capacity (but they are surprisingly expensive).

However, for the times you need a trailer, it is often possible to loan for free or rent by the hour for quite a low price, like when you buy building material, drive junk to the recycling station, help someone to move.

    11. We use it as a bed for the kids when they were small. They slepts like kings and queens.

First time I ever saw these, was when I went to Sweden last year. I don’t know if they’re even widely used elsewhere.

We usually use somewhat bigger versions of these to transport smaller game like deer/boar out from the woods so they definitely exist 🙂

Yes but the ones that are a box have become real popular the last year or so. Have not seen that one but probably exist or you can import it at least.
