Rogue communication device? C’mon, all the big brains to direct it, and all they are able to say is “a rogue communication device”? 🙄

U.S is not a fact based country. There is no point to jump to conclusions yet. EU needs to investigate it first.

Was told about Japanese parts too in the 80s.
For China, this is the stupidest thing to do.

Of course people will notice. And trade will be down immediately. Probably something very beneficial for the US.

The list of known compromised devices is full of name brands, and many household devices – a few countries have these lists, and the ip they ping back to.

We need to get China out of our markets and supply chains. China is the main reason Russia is able to keep its unprovoked imperial war going against Ukraine. China is helping Russia to murder thousands of Europeans every week.

    12. Put inverters into Faraday cages and its still cheaper overall – do so for everything infrastructure critical that comes from outside EU. Only mode of communication is through primitive protocols (modbus) to homegrown controllers.

    15. The presence of unused communication devices in consumer electronics it’s not uncommon.

Sometimes, it’s just cheaper to get a SOC with communication capabilities even if you don’t use those.

You actually need to prove that they are capable to do that you claim to able.
