All Trump is doing is prolonging the war because Russia is never going to stop unless the cost far outweighs the reward. The only way for that to happen is to greatly increase both military support for Ukraine and sanctions placed on Russia.
Russia is like an out of control dog that has bitten down on someone. You can’t reason with such animals and if punching its nose several times doesn’t work you grab a hammer and get to work.

Look, this is a good thing. I know it’s less than ideal and it’s costing Ukrainian lives, but Trump is what he is and we have to work within those parameters.
A personal rejection, to his face, from the cunt in the Kremlin is just the sort of personal slight he needs to flip the other way and throw in properly with Ukraine. Think the Oval Office ambush, but without any sympathetic Europeans to swing him back the other way, only to keep driving him against Putin.
Trump is very weak and submissive to Putin. He has no power to influence him.

I’m convinced this whole back and forth is a ruse. In reality, Trump is more than happy to lick any of Putin’s crevasses. The man has no moral code nor allegiance to anyone or anything that doesn’t bring him additional power. There is a clear Russian strategy to prolonging the war, and it’s to avoid complete economic collapse, amongst other things.
But but did Dementia Don already forgot that he stopped the war the first day in office ?
He has already tried having phone calls with Putin. Nothing came out of it.
