Shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but, there does seem to be a high correlation between looking like a Steve Pemberton character out of League of Gentlemen and making ‘sink the boats/deport the muslamics’ type posts on twitter.

Reform just won’t cope in power, they are used to being able to say what they want but not have to follow through with anything. Now they are being held accountable suddenly the big brave right wingers that make up their cohort are running away.

He has done quite well several Reform Counsellors resigned before they actually took their seats, you would think many were paper candidates who had no real intention of fulfilling the role if elected.

It’s almost better for Labour that reform get these small bits of power to advertise their political abilities.

Exactly the same as Boris and Brexit. They really wanted to _only just lose_ then ride that political wave, sitting on the sidelines and ranting, for years …

If Labour lost councillors at similar pace, all the media and opposition parties would demand a snap election, but this’ll be lucky to be a quarter page of The Sun.

Dropping like flies. The right can’t govern. All slogans and hard talk, no actual ability. They are basically just large scale hecklers with ultra rich backers.

Ah so this is another example of “Reform voters / supporters aren’t racist, we just want a cap on immigration”.
Just so I’m clear on that one. Apparently it’s “just a few bad apples”.
Seems to be enough for a record breaking apple crumble but ya know…

Reform figuring out that being an elected official means you can no longer say racist shit.
That party gonna implode when theres actual backlash to them saying awful dehumanising things.

Its funny. The side railing against everything wrong in the world gets into power. When they do and realise that they actually have to do something now, they run a mile.

Reform cannot govern themselves, yet some people think they could govern the UK. They are the political equivalent of that bloke in the pub who could coach England to a World Cup trophy because they are better than their mates at FIFA.

As someone who worked for years in local govt – I also think people don’t understand what is actually involved in being a councillor.
A lot of these Reform/right-wing/conspiracy theory politicians think that getting elected will be exciting and hand them loads of power. They are desperate to see ‘behind the curtain’ and discover all those exciting liberal conspiracies that definitely exist according to TikTok.
Two weeks sounds about right for them to realise that, like any other new job, being a councillor just involves a lot of meetings, a lot of well-meaning but slightly crap people ‘doing their best’, and a load of very boring induction training 😂 There’s nothing behind the curtain, people!

Another vile racist wins local UK election only to let his racism make his position untenable within a fortnight.
There I fixed the headline.
That is yet another by-election paid for by our tax funds.
