Group linked to miners union doesn’t invite person who doesn’t support unions or miners.

Ahh right because a few wallys voted for these clowns we should roll out the red carpet to them. Hey why wouldn’t you want some far right nut job foaming at the mouth staying in your spare room. They won the council seat which basically makes them king.

So, no-one suspicious of these wins at all, right after blindingly rich nazi types in the whitehouse showed interest in influencing our votes?

At last someone’s figuring out Reform aren’t a party for the working classes. They are against workers rights, so will be against unions too.

Next years Gala will be cancelled due to h&s concerns.

Worth noting that Luke Akehurst was told not to attend last year’s in spite being North Durham MP.
See if that little detail gets glossed over by the Waffling Gargoyle…

When you’re dismantling a toxic status quo heavy resistance is always expected.

Farage: I’m the only politician keeping the flame of Thatcherism alive.
Yea I wonder why he wasn’t invited to the Miners’ Gala.

Farage is a grifter, he couldn’t even let his councillor have their moment without trying to make it about him

Possibly a little shortsighted considering that if the polls are to be believed reform will be among the largest parties in parliament after the next GE (although i recognise that’s years off and things can change). Under those circumstances reform will be the most pro coal major party considering their stance on net zero.
But with coal mining now dead in Durham it appears that these leaders would rather they just mourn the past and revel in nostalgia.

I really don’t see the issue here.
The unions have a long, well established, and known political link with the Labour Party. And Durham has traditionally voted Labour. Reform would also trample all over working class voters if given the chance to.
Of course they are not going to be invited to it.

Out of date union doesn’t represent members. Shock

Why “despite”?
People in my local council don’t get invites to my parties either. Getting elected to the council to deal with bin collection and pot holes doesn’t mean you get automatic invites. deliberately provocative title.

Will be interesting scenario playing out if Reform actually pick up seats in ex-mining areas

Be nice if they were uninvited from the human race.
