I do long for the day that mainstream German political analysis will pick up on the fact that AfD’s policy platform is not bad because it’s AfD that’s proposing it, the policies themselves are bad policies. They won’t become better policies if it’s CDU, SPD and the Greens implementing them.
Well if 1 out of 5 people elected the AfD. Ignoring it completely would just lead to people getting more upset. Also not anything the AfD wants is bad. If they are smart they let them help at the positive points.
