By Isabel van Brugen – News Reporter:

President Donald Trump’s lengthy phone call with Vladimir Putin yielded no major breakthrough and led some European officials to accuse the U.S. president of handing his Russian counterpart a win.

The leaders spoke for two hours on Monday as part of Washington’s latest attempt to bring the three-year conflict with Ukraine to an end.

To deal with America all Putin had to do was wait out Trump’s staggeringly short attention span.

The only shocking development here is that people are still being surprised when Dodo acts like my 4-year-old daughter.

If anybody is shocked by this after all the bs the US admin has done lately they are a complete moron

    5. Marchello_E on

This is just a non-canon spin-off… They can give each other all the agreements, awards, and compliments.
It is inconsequential, a distraction and has nothing to do with the Russia terrorizing Ukraine, violating the UN charter, or World peace in general.

The only think that might be “interesting” between these two puppets is when/if the US gets their aluminum deal, what happens in return, and who cries the loudest afterwards. But actually, no one cares.

    6. ChapterTraditional60 on

Stop being shocked. He is and always has been a Putin puppet. Act accordingly.

    7. ***…again. And again. And again.***
Shitler is compromised, always was, always will be. And now throw in his syphilis addled brain mixed with burning desire to be a dictator too, and it’s just going to get worse and worse.

      **When ‘Mc Coronary’???**

    8. Major__Factor on

No one is shocked anymore. We know that Trump is Putin’s bitch.

The “master negotiator” promised a deal on Day One, walks away at Day 120 because … ? … it’s not his problem anymore, really? Such a pathetic skin of a man

    10. Smartimess on

I guarantee you that not a single expert was shocked by the outcome of Trumps telephone diplomacy.

    11. Equivalent-Role4632 on

Every time Putin and Trump talk Putin gets a win. Trump doesn’t have the backbone to stand up to Putin. He’s scared to death of him so he settles for being his little lap dog.

    12. YougoReddits on

Look a him standing there. Sad dog on a leash.

can we call him Reek yet?

    13. primax1uk on

Does that mean that Europe can now handle this unimpeded by Trump? Probably not, you can bet he’ll throw his oar back in if the Coalition of the Willing starts to take even firmer stances, and talks about boots on the ground.

Europe needs to take the lead for its own backyard. Doesn’t matter with Traitor Don says. Fuckm. Start by placing restrictions on SM and watch this shit clean up in 3 years.

No surprise. It was already agreed. Make America great again means invading North and Central America + Greenland. Make USSR great again focus on invading Europe. China has the rest of the world to build their new Silk Road + reuniting China (Taiwan and other neighbour territories included).

Europe isn’t shocked, they’re disappointed, shocked is left for those times when serious people refuse to do what’s right. Trump is definitely not a serious person.

    18. Solrac50 on

Trump is none of the things he claims to be… strong negotiator, no because he hates conflict and roles over easily… a good businessman, no – he bankrupted multiple companies including casinos which statistically always win… planner, no – he rarely follows through on the things he says he will do.

And what he is… a grifter willing to accept billions in bribe-like gifts… easily manipulated by those who flatter his narcissistic ego… a willfully ignorant person who skips most of his briefings… a cheat who often doesn’t pay his debts… a philanderer who screws porn stars after his wife gives birth… a liar constantly avoiding responsibility for his actions… and unfortunately for the world, the President.

    19. PeterServo on

How shocked can anyone be at this point, I feel like I’m reading the same story about “negotiations” for 4 months straight.

    20. Piltonbadger on

Are we really shocked, though? It’s no secret Trump is compromised or scared of Putin, or probably both.

Agent Orange kowtowing to Daddy Putin isn’t all that shocking at all.

    21. manu144x on

If Putin would ask tomorrow half of Poland, Trump would give it, in the interest of peace and stopping the bloodbath.

If he’d ask part of germany, he’d give that too, because “they don’t buy american cars, you don’t see one single american in germany, why should we defend them? Who prevented them from building an army to defend themselves?”

I think he’s not even a russian asset at this point, he simply does NOT want to negotiate. He wants stuff like he had in the middle east. To visit places, people to say hello, smile, give him money, planes, let him build golf resorts (how many did he announce? Qatar, saudi arabia, vietnam, and still more coming).

He’s just SO bored of the responsibilities of presidency, he just wants the fun parts.

    22. HotPotatoWithCheese on

I can’t believe he would do this. Definitely gone down in my estimations. I thought he would be a brilliant president.

    23. Kavandje on

      Shocked! Shocked?

      Not that shocked.

I think that the European leadership knows precisely what they’re dealing with — an existential threat to democracy. They’re _saying_ they’re shocked as a diplomatic matter.

    24. Straight-Lunch-2268 on

Yes it’s very shocking that Putin’s willing tool is acting like a willing tool.

    25. Shocked of what, exactly? Trump sneaking away from his promises? Like nobody saw that coming.

    26. jwvcjvc8xe72-hfui on

I may have misread the article, but it seems to be missing an important topic they discussed during the phone call. United States and Russia are about enter a cooperation agreement to heavily invest in each other’s economies.

      edit: added context

      >Mr. Trump also said in a statement that Russia “wants to do largescale TRADE with the United States when this catastrophic ‘bloodbath’ is over, and “there is a tremendous opportunity for Russia to create massive amounts of jobs and wealth.”

    27. Innate-Bandit on

Yeah we’re never gonna get our shit together. If we can’t at this point it’s doomed

    28. He can’t accept being told no, so gives up and walks away to do things that people will say yes to him.
