Virtually the opposite of how the Romanian diaspora voted (far-right in Europe, centrist in North America). Can anyone explain why that is? I’m not too familiar with the Polish outside of Poland.

its always the people not living in the country voting for some far right bullshit

    3. Dont_Knowtrain on

Is there. Breakdown over how many voted in each country?

    4. Is Poland’s far-right similar to other far-right parties, ie extremely patriotic of… Russia?

    5. Very interesting to see no comments cursing on the diaspora and calling them to be stripped of voting rights that we saw under similar maps of Romanian election. Seems like when the result is right for them everyone is suddenly unbothered with diasporas voting. It only becomes a problem when diasporas vote the way people don’t like

Why it is always those voting on right and conservatives living not home, I don’t understand

I will never understand why countries allow citizens that don’t reside in said country to vote…

Man the irony of the Polish far right only leading the vote in Kosovo, a country where, nominally, [95% of the population is muslim](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographics_of_Kosovo#Religion).

It becomes even more ironic if you take the [following statement](https://wiadomosci.wp.pl/dotarlo-do-polski-mentzen-zaczal-niebezpieczna-gre-opinia-7141065066507104a) from Mentzen into consideration:

      >***”We need to close the border to immigrants from Muslim countries immediately! Before it’s too late, before Poland becomes like Great Britain, France or Sweden. This is the last chance. We need to start deporting them, instead of trying to integrate them!*****”** – declares Sławomir Mentzen.

Iceland shouldn’t be black for mentzen? Nawrocki was 5th in Iceland

i think a factor that’s underestimated here is that the polish diaspora in the US is centered around the polish catholic church. the church is the main community in which poles gather, and the main teacher of the polish language. if you’re polish diaspora in the US and you’re not going to church, odds are you’re not going to be voting because you’re already distanced from the community. if you’re going to church, you’re voting conservative

    12. Mentzen’s also 1st in Iceland, Nawrocki is actually like 5th

Wow Americans are really traumatized by the woke trend. 😂

    14. calling trzaskowski just centrist is …. how do I put it, not accurate? he is more like centre-left imo

The best thing about this election is that there were 8 people in isreal who voted for Braun who openly hates Jews

Lol and the Romanian diaspora in our country also voted for Simion. Why do they want to live in Iceland which is far more progressive and left-wing?

The crazy thing here is that one of the candidates (can’t remember which one) is anti immigration and he is one of the too vote recipients.

Poles voting against immigrants…and then this map comes along.

      Hypocrisy much?

The only openly pro-Russian candidate Maciej Maciak had the most surprise in, shocker, Russia and Iran.
