She’s done a damn fine job of showing just how utterly useless and bureaucratic local councils can be. Hope it’s a real eye opener for Gen Z.
This series has been brilliant and her persistence has been incredible. Actual journalism.
Weirdly she films an awful lot of her other content outside my friends flat, so it slightly mad to see the person who until a few weeks ago was mostly confusing passers by and shopkeepers create actual change.
Also Zoe best not make an enemy of my friend as she has a clear video of her actual face on her ring doorbell.

As someone who worked at two different local councils over a period of 6-7 years my lasting impression is that these institutions are managed purely for self preservation ahead of accountability and doing the right thing for its residents.
It’s not just the elected councillors, it’s the council employee lifers who coast by without innovation, putting in the minimal required effort and those with talent and ambition usually leave for the private sector, where their efforts are actually rewarded with career progression.
I LOVE Zoebread. She seems aloof but she has a genuine passion for journalism and seems to make an actual difference. My coworker got to meet her once and I am infinitely jealous 🥲
This was genuinely an amazing series. It all started with her getting a stupid parking ticket and realising it was very misleading.
Her digging into the stats, realising that the sip carpark is also not following planning permission.
