And then the return flights are just silence and despair.

    2. Not to blame the victim here… but low-cost from the UK to a party destination, that was to be expected. Just sad for the bystanders/collateral damage.

I think for once MOL said something intelligent when he requested a two-drinks limit at airports.

**Sad story. Profit for these companies is more important than passengers’ safety, despite what they say after every single incident. These stories — and the practice of selling alcohol on board and at the airport — will continue until something very bad happens, because people, on a large scale, are not capable of being cautious; they only learn from tragedies.**

As a person from the Nordic countries, that have worked around the globe and often travelled there by british airlines, this isn’t news, it’s the norm.

    5. > This is unacceptable! They shouldn’t let these people on the plane or sell alcohol on it!

I feel like a person who flies with a budget airline uses duty-free to pay for alcohol instead of an expensive airplane menu.

The barrel scrapings of our society doing a good job for our reputation once more.

When I’ve travelled to Europe I’ve been so disheartened seeing what ilk my fellow passengers were.

It’s a bunch of lowlifes going to Ibiza, what did she expect?

Montague and his family of Pippa, Penny and Tarquin going for a nice little jaunt to see the sites?

Spaniards can’t act horrified when they’ve been raking in the cash from drunk twats for decades

That’s your demographic for places like there. Just like Benidorm is for their parents

      Next time take another airline

Saying this about pretty much any other European nationality on this sub would get you downvoted into oblivion. I do not know how can you believe something like this is in any way limited to Brits. My own Croats do things like that all the time except they would also be singing Ustaše-apologia songs. Stay classy r/europe

    10. Yeah, brits can be pretty retarded, especially if they are going abroad on like a bachelor party… Jesus christ – not gonna a shed a year when they get scammed for a 1000 eur champagne bottle.

There is something with Brits and their behaviour and drinking habits at 6am

Kudos to the canaries for having developed and prospered on a tourism model made of cheap shit for cheap shits. 20 years getting rich over pigsty brits but now you complain ? Just look at yourself in the mirror Canarians and stop pointing fingers. Ps: brit tourists should only be allowed to travel to Saudi Arabia

Going on vacation and getting shitfaced on your flight there is such a rookie move. You’re supposed to get your traveling out of the way, check in to your hotel, change your clothes, get some currency exchanged, and THEN act like a drunken slob.

I’m not so sure this is just a British thing. Direct flights from the US to Cancun, Mexico can be just as rowdy.

They were fun flights over back in the day, not sure what people expect, these flights were usually late at night, to a party destination, if you’re going on that expecting a nice relaxing flight then more fool you frankly, and it’s hardly a British thing, I’ve done enough miles, highlight was an Romanian hen party heading towards Malta where the bride and two bridesmaid must have sunk a fair amount of wine prior to boarding as not long after takeoff there was a tundra of wine come flowing from the bride as she proceeded to soak the seat in front and the floor with her drink of choice. That was a long flight that smelt of pure horrid rot.

All part of the story though.

I’m flying from the UK to Ibiza in the summer, but I also teach teenagers for my job so I should be more or less prepared for the stupid behaviour

The actual casual racism and classism in this thread is next level. Any excuse to have a go at those horrible brits while at the same time trying to feel morally superior.

As a Brit, this is grim. I liked to party at their age, but fucking hell, not like that.
Just a complete lack of respect for others.
I went to Faro and Albufeira a year or so ago with friends. Very similar vibe. The reputation is deserved it seems.
