Child neglect taking your child who cant swim to somewhere like this

what the fuck is this headline and what would be ‘lawfully killed’??

Both parties at fault, mainly parents IMO, bringing your kid somewhere knowing they can’t swim is just stupid and would’ve prevented it all from happening, but a waterpark should have decent lifeguards or at least make it glaringly obvious they aren’t fully trained

So the owners opened a water park with ridiculously deep, murky bodies of water and allowed children to swim in it without proper signage, supervision or the ability to carry out a rescue if someone _did_ go missing?
This feels like a H&S fuckup well beyond just the park and the parents. This thing shouldn’t have been allowed to operate like this at all.

When I was a kid I always got annoyed that my mother would come to parties and insist that she would supervise. As I get older and see stories like this I understand more as to why. Not having staff who are sufficiently trained if someone drowns is crazy to me.

I do wonder why there are so many people here blaming the parents. This is pretty clearly manslaughter. The individuals won’t be prosecuted though because of the concept of corporate personhood, so the company will be fined, nothing more.

Baffled that such a facility would not make life jackets compulsory given the currents and depths of the water.
And for everyone saying she couldn’t swim, she could have got a cramp and panicked at how deep the water was. This feels like 110% the parks fault.
