It’s starting to become ridiculous that the same politicians that complain about free press and want to hold them to ever higher standards are strong supporters of “freedom of opinion” for social media, where it’s often unclear who paid for or even created the content.
Orban is really panicing now, isn‘t he?
I wonder if he will outlaw the opposition one day…
They won’t do anything about it.
They need to make new rules in the EU. If a member state starts to show authoritan tendencies like restricting free press or meddling with the voting process. Then there should be a mechanism present that freezes the funds and restricts the country’s voting rights in the EU. It is ridiculous what Orban gets away with in the EU.
The EU needs to take any and all possible punitive actions against Hungary. Anything less is complicity. This “next election will fix it” mentality isn’t working. Same with Israel, it’s time to cut the turds loose.
What the EU going to do? Kick them out or don’t. But stop babbling.
They need to be thrown out.
We left over less. Continuing to disrupt the bloc while not campaigning on an exit is just sabotage at this point.
At this point we need to boot Hungary out of the EU. I dont know what kind of value they bring, but too long they have been vetoing european policies. EU does not need a Russian asset amongst ourselves, especially with the recent agresion from Russia.
