      What the hell is with this recent string of xenophobic and islamophobic stuff out of france? Is macron so desperate for votes that he has to attack Britain and a minority group on the regular now?

      So, they’re going to combat radicalisation by [checks notes] giving the radicals more material for their rhetoric and propaganda, while potentially alienating the very communities they should be partnering with to get rid of the radicals within? *Plus ça change, plus c’est la même chose…*

      I think it’s great and whoever is not happy and thinks that the measure is a way to restrict freedom, can go to one of the many rich muslim countries to enjoy in “freedom” of such beautiful and ancient traditions…

      Freedom of religion and speech are being curbed in Europe. this is a very slippery slope.

      If they actually cared they would ban circumcision- which is obviously FAR more damaging than wearing a Hijab, but it’s all about banning visible expressions to appease the far right
