Took me far too long to work out how to post this. So many reddit rules.
34 Families trying to bock the building of 500 homes. It’s become a joke at this stage and so frustrating to watch.
70% are very contented by current conditions

Yes but there’s no footpaths , no schools ect , that’s typical of Irish governments . Let’s build 500 house but not think of the effects on already over stretched schools .
A developer in Galway tried for permission for houses and apartments on the Headford Rd leaving the city. The area is not served with footpaths and the closest city bus stop was about 1km away. There wasn’t parking for the full amount of units so many would have relied on PT, being pedestrian or bikes. Woefully poor attempt and was rightly turned down.
The group secretary complaining there are no cycle lanes on the road but I’m sure if Cork Co Council started installing cycle lanes he would complain too!
