You’d better get a new one in Tbilisi or in some reliable place in Stepantsminda, like [https://kazbekclimbing.com/climbing-equipment-rental/](https://kazbekclimbing.com/climbing-equipment-rental/) though I’ve never been there. Do not buy gas from locals. A couple of years ago a bought such refilled gas canister in Stepantcminda and it totally destroyed my MSR Windburner. I guess they just refilled it with whatever crap gas you get for home cooking.
Buying gas in Tbilisi also sucks. You literally lose one day, because most of the shops are located in the center or Saburtalo, and taking into account the fucked up traffic and that shops open around 10, by they time you manage to buy the gas and departure to Stepantsminda, you’ll have to camp at the Trinity 😉
