I cannot know for sure if the specific sms is not a scam (I think it is not), however the procedure it describes is real and it must be completed.
It’s to comply with a new law that all phone numbers must be linked with the ID of the owner.
Cyta is currently offering this reward for completing the procedure so I think the sms is not a scam. If you are unsure just visit the website [directly](https://www.cyta.com.cy/soeasy-identification/en).
The process must be completed until 10/11/25 (or any extensions given – this is Cyprus 😅) otherwise your number will be deactivated.
