Shall I prepare the room for Mr. Cockup?
Trust Translink to make a bollocks of all island connectivity.
It’s almost as if decision makers within that organisation have wet dreams about the 6 counties falling off of Ireland, floating into the Irish Sea and attaching to Scotland.
Ask a Translink employee for a train ticket to Derry and see what kind of response you get.
How are they doing ‘capacity management’ on trains when they can’t control IE tickets?
Took a weekend trip to Belfast last month and even getting out of the station was a nightmare. The stalls for scanning on the way out just read QR codes which are printed on the trans link tickets but not on the Irish rail ones, so anyone coming with an Irish rail ticket had to queue behind one stall while a staff member scanned his id badge to let people though one by one. Insanely
Poorly thought out
It also has 8 train platforms even though we only have 4 train lines out of Belfast which seems excessive
