Must of been awkward watching the migrant boats go by during this

So it was in the French Exclusive Economic Zone and the vessel was unlicensed, which means licenses ARE available for UK boats, but they would not mention this because it would counter their UK as a victim narrative.

The ship was fishing without a licence in French waters – not sure what the story is here

You can’t even fish without a licence without getting arrested these days.
“Nation stops unlicenced vessel from illegally fishing in it’s territory.” Fixed.

Total non-story here, don’t fish without a licence.

One was just off the Somme Bay, so very close to the French coast and about 50 miles England.
The other was 35 miles off Britanny, but still quite a lot closer to France than England.
Does this have anything to do with the new agreement or is it ragebait? I could well imagine that fishing so close to the French coast was illegal before.

This sub should seriously consider banning The Telegraph. As usual, the headline is misleading (at best).

Fucking bollocks story. They were there illegally lol. This is solely to stoke some sort of anger and furore. Couldn’t milk the Lineker story anymore so have to deal with this shit I suppose.

Interesting how fish in the English Channel belong to France, but people found there belong to England. /s

Amazing what the French can do when they want to ? They can stop a fishing boat yet are unable to stop dozens of dinghys a year.

Sick of fisherman to be honest. If I ever met captain birdseye I’d call him a dick head.

When you go anywhere in the Uk waters you need a license to fish
This vessel was in French waters with no license.

This is an act of war, time to send some corsairs and pirates to deal with those grenouilles.
The golden age of piracy is upon us lads.

So, “Boat acting illegally seized by law enforcement”, then?

Without going hyperbole i would ask why before passing judgement.

Funny how they’re keen to seize them but don’t batter an eye lid to all the illegals crossing the channel.

I hear the French attacked them with baguettes. The lads retaliated with tea bags but they bounced off the defensive mime wall all French vessels bring with them. A tragic day.
