      Unless they have ancestry, this requires at least 5 years of residency in the UK, so they’ve been here since before Trump started his second term..

      American here that moved in 2015 and became a citizen last year.

      Can confirm it’s expensive since as fuck. And you get nothing until you have settled status.

      30 days of holiday and no 80 hour work weeks is totally worth it.

      I understand people fleeing from dangerous ideologically extreme regimes.

      However, they come from a place where violence is the norm. Many still think that waving around guns is a good idea.

      As long as they culturally integrate, and bring valuable skills I think we should welcome them, cautiously.
