Honestly, I can’t blame them with that tool in power in America. The more Americans move here the better.

Good. They might make up part of the tax revenue to make up for all the millionaires and billionaires that have left since the abolition of non-dom status!

Are they not just economic refugees? Surely we should not be letting young men of fighting age in from this 3rd world country that does not share our culture and values

Have them pay 100k entry and fast track them to a working visa

I find this surprising, even with Trump the quality of life for those gainfully employed is much greater.

Land of the free, seeks refuge in the land that supposedly once oppressed them. How to tell me the American revolution was a mistake without actively saying it.

Is it the super uber liberal Americans who are nothing but pro nouns and abortion up to birth or just normal moderate Americans who just have a live and let live ideal. We have enough extreme crazies in this country already

>During the 12 months leading up to March, more than 6,000 US citizens have applied to either become **British subjects or to live and work in the country indefinitely** – the highest number since comparable records began in 2004, according to data released on Thursday by the [UK](https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news)’s Home Office.
Unless they have ancestry, this requires at least 5 years of residency in the UK, so they’ve been here since before Trump started his second term..

The good news being we’re not as bad as the US. Yet.

Would be fantastic if the UK & USA could enter an agreement for “swaps” – for every one that wants to come here – one gets to go there. Will make loads of people happy.

American here that moved in 2015 and became a citizen last year.
Can confirm it’s expensive since as fuck. And you get nothing until you have settled status.
30 days of holiday and no 80 hour work weeks is totally worth it.

Can we swap each one for a Reform UK member/voter?
They can go and live in their MAGADOGE utopia and thats one less vote for the British branch of the Alt-Right in return.
Everyone wins.

I wonder if it’s the WASP’s that are coming home realising their independence was a failure?

I understand people fleeing from dangerous ideologically extreme regimes.
However, they come from a place where violence is the norm. Many still think that waving around guns is a good idea.
As long as they culturally integrate, and bring valuable skills I think we should welcome them, cautiously.
