      The reasoning is sound. Why repay the US and not the EU ?

      However the solution – repaying the EU – is bad.

      The solution should be the EU sending enough weapons and support to make the US irrelevant. In that case Trump could whine all he wants but he´d have no leverage.

      The truth is that if the US gets anything from Ukraine it would be like the EU funding the US.

      Even if they are playing a divisive card I think it’s true that U.S getting mineral deal while Europe gave and gives, by far, the biggest assistance to Ukraine (in money grand total) is a bit… Disgusting.

      It’s possible however that this deal is partially an artifice without major obligations. At this point it would just be a divisive move.

      This party is between 2-4%. Even though they are in gov, they are not relevant. They hope topics like this will help them gain more local traction.

      There are literally billboards on the Slovak countryside advertising for Russia and against Ukraine/Nato/EU.

      We must set up some anti-propaganda mechanisms in the EU. It is too easy for Russia to coerce politicians and news organizations here.
