That’s because the streets and public facility’s are disgusting and everything costs a fortune.

Drop the price and clean the place up.

      It’s not difficult.

      > “Irish residents spent an estimated €3.6bn on domestic travel in 2024, an increase of 15.3pc year-on-year,” Mr Hayes said.

      > He noted that 80pc of tourism businesses in Ireland expected stable or increased visitor numbers this year.

Im from America and just visited Dublin the other day, genuinely can’t wait to come back. Most people were extremely friendly and city was decently clean. Only issue was some druggies shouting at people in occasion

Maybe stop filling all of the holiday houses and rural hotels with refugees would be a start.

Pricing themselves out. I honestly can’t understand how people can afford to pay for a Hotel room in this country for €300 per night. Car Hire for foreigners is ridiculous. Eating out is very expensive. There is no value for money. Personally I rarely ever go to a pub anymore. If I go out to meet a friend now it’s for a coffee. Generally we socialise with friends in each other’s houses. Prices need to significantly drop if they want tourism to significantly increase.

Well ye, make hotels back to being hotels, not IPAs centers. That would be a good start

Having lived in America for work, shockingly by American standards Dublin is clean and safe. However by European standards it’s quite dirty and extremely expensive. It’s cheaper to visit Copenhagen or Oslo than Dublin …

It’s too expensive. Anyone can see that. Wake the fuck up

      Hotel prices are ridiculous.

A week in Spain is cheaper than a week in an Irish hotel.
