The Russian money stopped coming in (or got blocked), and now he’s retiring from politics apparently

He’ll be back in 2 years.

I wonder if someone who supports leaving NATO and becoming a puppet state from Russia can be called a nationalist.

It’s possible that he’s getting stuck.Today he’s being brought to the prosecutor’s office to be questioned about legionary statements. He already has open files that are under investigation, so his situation is not clear.
I think he either received signals that he should withdraw and is thus creating a way out of the picture, or he realized that serious investigations await him and doesn’t want to make his situation worse.

Perhaps this shouldn’t be the end of any investigation where his support and money come from ?

I thought he cared so much about Romania only he could save it! Turns out he was lying! Enjoy your retirement in Russia!

Good, he can now serve as an example of what Russia does once you’re of no use to it – it disposes of you because you’re immediately deemed useless.
Every politician should know this. They’re nothing but tools meant to destabilize a country and essentialy – a traitor of their own people and countries.

Good ridance. Hope he stays retired and doesn’t come back next elections like a manipulative conman that he is.

Yeah right “retires”. They failed, he’s getting prosecuted and now trying to make it look like he was forced to retire as if he’s the victim

Not very ultra anything if he gives up that easily. This is the type of fiery motivation you want to see as head of state: someone that surrenders upon the first sign of resistance.
