Yes, spring rain following lovely sunshine. It’s an ideal climate.

What do you mean almost? That’s quality British-summer weather right there.

In all fairness, this is the first proper rain we’ve had in a while. The weather has been great for weeks. We even had 27°C up in Manchester at one point.

In York there’s been an eternal cycle of 15 minute rain sessions followed by 15 minutes of sun followed by rain again.

So regular day in England?

England has been exporting its weather, apparently. ~~Gray~~ Grey skies and 15°C for weeks on end, it’s getting silly.

Ah, looks like summer came early this year!

It’s the first spell of rain we’ve had in a long time. Grass and crops were dying. There is still a high chance of a hosepipe ban coming into effect because we haven’t had nearly enough rain.
Taking a picture on the first rainy day for months is disingenuous.

I heard England is having a huge issue with droughts in the North at the moment. If that’s true i guess having rain now cannot hurt.

As someone who just built their own – that is an impressive pergola.

30 degrees here in the algarve, ginger irishmen are not build for this heat, but I’m loving it all the same.

Down here in the southwest it has rained 1 or 2 days in the last almost 6 weeks. It’s been blazing sunshine, loving it.

Sunniest spring for year, kids break up for half term and now this. Classic

I bought a parasol two weeks ago.

We really, really, ***REALLY*** need the rain – we’ve had no significant rainfall since the end of last year, and the Environment Agency’s mooting water rationing.
It’s shit, but it needs to rain solidly for the same length of time that it didn’t. This is climate change, folks. I’m in Bristol and, according to the Met Office, that’s not going to happen – light showers aren’t going to do anything to refill our depleted waterways.

I’m still willing to bet that there are at least 100 shirtless Brits sunbathing within a 100-meter radius.
I welcome it, it’s been basically non stop sun for about 3 weeks where I am. My poor garden was gasping, seemingly no matter how much I watered it.
This is welcome, after there were [reports of Hosepipe ban amid ‘medium’ drought risk, as England suffers driest start to spring since 1950s](https://news.sky.com/story/hose-pipe-ban-looms-amid-medium-drought-risk-as-england-suffers-driest-start-to-spring-since-1950s-13363226)
