      Just watching the dail proceedings…

Mary Lou reading a letter from a parent, she explains they got a letter saying that they can make an appointment to have a review and in bold writing they are telling them that only one parent will be allowed to attend with the child… Are they for real????? Who the fuck let that letter get sent out to thousands of families that have been wronged and getting wronged again. This is absolutely mad.

      >Speaking on RTÉ’s News at One programme, Ms Carroll MacNeill said she had made it clear that she had “strong questions about the governance of CHI and its direction towards the future”.

      >”We’ve had three resignations from the board this morning. These would be individuals who have worked on the board, worked in [a] volunteer capacity on the board since 2018,” she said.

      >The three members are Dr Gavin Lavery, Brigid McManus and Catherine Guy.

That’s three people who will no longer have to answer any of the Minister’s questions anyway. Off to a different gig for them.

They should have been held to account before any resignations were accepted.

What sort of message does this send out?

Some other scandal is about to come to light I’d say.

    5. Final responsibility for holding the management to account rests with the Board. Somehow a surgeon was found to be referring public patients to his private practice and this wasn’t reported to the gardai. The board need to go, but also the senior management.

You can’t let this happen in an organisation. It’s a shambles.

    6. If we’d a different result in the GE we’d have a SF minister getting it in the ear over this instead. The problem is that everyone will concentrate on getting a political scalp instead of actually getting those that screw up held accountable.
