      I‘ve worked for CFL as a train dispatcher for several years and I can confirm you, this is normal.

      Those kind of things are **always** planned for the night. People always asked me what I did during the night since there are nearly no trains, yes but we did those kind of things.

      During the day it’s simply not possible because too many trains are circulating.

      Moreover, these works have a massive influence on the security system. So the dedication system for the trains doesn’t work properly during this. You can imagine the consequences.

      After this we always had to test the system again, and this takes time too. Sometimes some minor works needed to be done for this.

      So yeah, it’s normal.
