Ciao,

AGES has published some data: [Link in German](https://www.ages.at/mensch/schwerpunkte/schwerpunktaktionen/detail/perfluorierte-alkylsubstanzen-in-trinkwasser-monitoring-1)
There’s a table showing the last few years down below on the AGES site, go to “PFAS im Trinkwasser”: [https://www.ages.at/mensch/ernaehrung-lebensmittel/rueckstaende-kontaminanten-von-a-bis-z/per-und-polyfluorierte-alkylverbindungen-pfas](https://www.ages.at/mensch/ernaehrung-lebensmittel/rueckstaende-kontaminanten-von-a-bis-z/per-und-polyfluorierte-alkylverbindungen-pfas)
I hate to say it, but while the topic is important and should be monitored, are levels anywhere reaching “problematic” levels?
I known they’re in like GoreTex Jackets and stuff, but I feel like we’ve got far more dangerous problems, like air pollution that kill way more people then PFAS.
There was this viral video about a [“toxic jacket”](https://youtu.be/-ht7nOaIkpI) and to me there seems to be more media hype than really substantial danger. I’d much rather wear my GoreTex stuff for years than die from hypertermia because I was soaked through while hiking and had nothing to protect me. Sadly this whole craze has ruined rain jackets, as the newer ones are less durable and their DWR wears off after only light use.
