The gov are hardly going to support an opposition bill. It’s expected.

“Mr Martin said the most effective response to what is happening in Gaza is to persuade people in the European Union and the United States to pull their support from Israel..”

Like, maybe, pulling support for allowing them to sell bonds?

      Two faced fuckers.

and as a country what are we going to do about it next General election ?

vote FF/FG back into government that’s what

i don’t want to sound nihilistic but what is the point in complaining about the government when the majority of the country still continues voting for this shower we’ve been doping it for 94 fucking years and i don’t believe that will change anytime soon

I’m just being brutally honest guys we don’t have the numbers to topple them and they know it and even if we did i hate to break it to you but SF is literally FF/FG but with different names

      >Opposition deputies had claimed the Central Bank was trading, selling and dealing in Israeli bonds

Making stuff up is hardly the right way to go about things

This is really disappointing. What do we get in return for this only a few thousand in professional fees to whatever advisors they’ve hired to do them?

This is one of the few levers Ireland can pull to try and hurt them and the government have played partisan politics with it, while children die either by Israeli bullets or by starvation and withdrawal of aid being used as a weapon of war.

For all the talk Martin and co make internationally on this matter, they don’t actually walk the walk.

This is the kind opposition can do but hard to do in the reality of government where this would probably be unworkable and perhaps have unintentional negative consequences for us.

It’s not as if the government buy and sell them.

Can’t wait for Simon Harris to have a complete meltdown when he’s accused of funding genocide (they are)
