      Genuinely great news.

      On another point, I wish the BBC would review their approach to ‘showing both sides’.

      – The way the position that the length of time to approve, build and get them in use is 10 years does not need to be phrased as a negative.

      – That some scientists believe we need to reduce our water consumption, whilst yes is a fact, actually comes across as if 2 reservoirs isn’t enough and we should have approved more.

      The facts aren’t incorrect, but phrased and laid out in the article as a negative to 2x reservoirs being built, which is genuinely good news from all political sides

      Good. There haven’t been any meaningful new reservoirs built since the privatisation of water companies despite numerous reports and warnings stating we’re going to see big issues with water shortages in the not too far future.

      Now let’s get them to pay for it out of the multi billions of pounds of profit they’ve made over the last three decades… that’ll be a real coup.
