Quello che abbiamo qui è un ragno recluso mediteranneo (μεσογειακή λοξοσκέλη) che ho trovato vicino al mio letto. Allarmante. In Limassol, in un appartamento. Questi ragazzi sono per lo più attivi da maggio a ottobre, quindi scrollati di dosso tutti i vestiti o le letti per evitare di essere morsi in quanto questi sono uno dei ragni più velenosi qui a Cipro. Mentre alcuni morsi non sono così gravi, è ancora meglio essere cauti. Vivo in città, quindi se li vedo qui, chissà quante case le hanno.

OP thank you for doing the research to post facts rather than fiction. r/Spiders could use more people like you.
These spiders are afraid of humans and are quick to flee rather than bite. They can be identified by their unique eye arrangement **and** distinct violin shape on the top side of their thorax. Mind you, Lox always have the unique eye arrangement AND the violin pattern. Yes, these are medically significant spiders and their venom does cause skin necrosis if enough is injected during a bite. There is no known cure for this venom.
So far I spotted these guys in Nicosia (near Engomi KCineplex) and in a village in the Limassol area (don’t remember which one).
