I mean it is such an easy situation to solve. If ruzzkies do that, install a hilarious amount of missile launchers across the Poland, Baltics, Finland, Sweden, Western Ukraine. If ruzzkies make a move, remind them that all major Russian cities including St. Peterburg, Moscow are not that far away and would be completely destroyed.
They will very fast take all those missiles back to their shiethole.

Posturing as a Distraction. If Europe arms itself, it can arm Ukraine less. The main objective of Poopootin the Lord of Terror for now is to conquer Ukraine before the next USA Presidential elections.

Which missiles? Which targets? In terms of land-based weapons there are very few weapons in Russia’s arsenal that would be worth deploying there. [Novator](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Novator_9M729) would only be able to cover southern europe, most of which would also be in range of the same system based in Russia itself on the Black Sea coast. [Oreshnik](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oreshnik_(missile)) could hit anywhere in Europe from Sabha…but could hit anywhere in Europe from a huge amount of Russian territory too.
So…I don’t get it. All this would do is allow them to threaten Spain and Portugal with a weapon that otherwise couldn’t threaten them…whilst placing the launcher outside Russian air defences and into a country that’s more easily attacked by European navies.
Europe needs to wake up that we are at war with Russia. At the moment it is just news articles and hollow threats but the same people who said that Russian wont attack Ukraine need to realise war is coming to Europe – it is not a matter of if but when. I hate so much that we are in the situation, surrounded by Putin supporting right wing governments clawing on to power like cancer.
Its so frustrating I almost wish we could just call his bluff and bomb every Russian position in Russia and Ukraine. I dont want war and I dont want bombs flying over Europe. But Russia will not change and it is not acting in good faith. It only unterstands power.

Maybe that will make those countries in Southern Europe that still continue to play down the Russian threat focus more on their own defence. That would be a welcome side effect at least.

I honestly think there’s a decent of an European-African war in the coming decades. More and more African countries are becoming pro-Russian military juntas, and at some point someone’s gonna fuck up bad.

This actually would have a positive: Most southern European countries do not feel threatened enough because Ukraine is far away. These kind of developments might realign their priorities, if any of it is true, that is.
