Most surprising thing is that it took so long for the jury to come to a decision given how little the defence brought to the table.

His lies were ridiculous, and an insult to Tina and her family.

Good. The fact that he was televised crying and begging for her to come home still gives me the chills.

    4. That poor poor woman. Justice finally. Hope he rots in prison.

Remember listening to this prick on the radio reaching out and concerned for her well being more than four years ago now.

I still don’t fully understand how the Gardaí didn’t do a proper search in 2017, her remains weren’t hidden particularly well.

I could be wrong but I’d imagine that a cadaver dog would have had a positive reaction if one had been in around the home.

I don’t care how long they took as long as they got to the right answer in the end. He’s had his day in court.  Now,  let us lock the door and melt down the key.

    8. All the people here saying it shouldn’t have taken the jury so long – you’re wrong.

As a jurist, you CANNOT just draw your own conclusions based off what you’ve read in the paper, or on social media, or chatting with your mum before the trial.

You must consider ALL the evidence, and ONLY the evidence. You can’t just say “well his fingerprints were on the murder weapon so that’s good enough for me. I don’t need to see any other evidence.”

That’s how mistrials and wrongful convictions happen -juries not doing the job the way it’s supposed to be done.

      He killed her.
      .
Buried her under the stairs and tried to plead not guilty

hope he rots behind the small bars in cork

I remember his teary appeals on Virgin media news with Paul Byrne over the years. Him knowing full well where she was and what he did.

To go on then with the lies and blackening Tina’s name with them is despicable.

And he’ll get a mandatory life sentence and be out walking the streets after 13 years, the same as if he walked in on day one and handed himself in.

Good, now lock him up and throw away the key.

How on earth did the Gardai manage to miss her being buried under her own floor for 7 years?!
