I know little about the background to this election but just looking at this poll it seems like margin of error numbers that could go either way.

    2. NatiFluffy on

There is a lot of time till those elections but sadly I’m already prepared for PiS + Konfederacja coallition

    3. Druivendief on

Was PiS the party that in the past always supported Hungary?

    4. bialymarshal on

      Its all in theory.

Lets see how people will respond in a year – that will be more representative.

Why year? Because either Nawrocki or Trzaskowski will win and government will have enough time to either do lots of work with RT or will be perma blocked by KN and hopefully people will see it.

I call bullshit. Absolutely none of the pooling companies here in Poland shown loss of KO, so the fact that they are 2nd is even dumber.

    6. QuestGalaxy on

But it’s not like PiS is doing better, they have fallen from the 2023 election.

    7. Bru, I am alread getting stress from the presidential election in Poland. I don’t need more stress regarding something that will happen in a year or more

Maybe it will end up like in Canada or Australia, where Trump’s fuckery completely changed the final result.

So on the center and left we thought that we need to put out people who are respectable, as it turns out both the US Republicans and Polish PiS put out a criminal as a presidential candidate, and it seems unfortunately both are going to win…

I do not know what to do with a Society that sees someone like this and decides that this is their elected representative… What does this say about them?

Ehh, looks like my countrymen learnt nothing. It’s back to being ashamed for my country, hurray.

Polish people voting a right wing extremist named….Braun. History left unprocessed is history that will repeat itself

A coalition of EPP and greens? Either greens are a political doormat or that coalitipn wont last a year in power. To many differences

    12. SSAJacobsen on

Polish people or political analysts who know a lot about Poland, why would you think that PiS is so popular in Poland right now?
From the outside, it looks like Tusk is doing a great job and putting Poland on the map as an influential international power.

Also, do Konfederacja and KKP exist in the same space as PiS? How do they differ?

    13. Kisielos on

Braun does not have the structures needed to get that 6% as it’s only him and nothing else. So i will hardly see it happening. When it comes to Konfederacja they will probably get the best score in history. Now the true issue lies that our left is small and fractured, if razem would just… evaporate and leave lewica it would be much better around the 10-12% score probably for the left, meaning we might have an interesting goverment.

Yo Poles, let me tell you I have recognized a lot of stuff is manufactured in your beautiful country. I’m going to boycott you not buying anything from Poland if this PIS of shit comes to power.

    15. vatanhainikropotkin on

Why is the left so weak in Poland and Czechia? Both of these countries are swinging between liberal conservatives (KO/SPOLU) and right-wing populists (PiS/ANO).

    16. HelloThereItsMeAndMe on

      What the parties stand for:

PiS = National Conservatism, Christian Right, Economically Left, Populism, “Eurorealism”, Pro USA, Anti Russia

KO = Centrism, Liberal Conservatism, Pro Europeanism, Anti Russia, partly Christian Democracy

TD = Centrism, Christian Democracy, Pro Europeanism

Lewica = Social Democracy, Centrism, Social Liberalism, Pro Europeanism

KON = Economic Libertarianism, Ultranationalism, Euroscepticism, Populism, Anti Establishment, Social Conservatism

KKP = Far right Populism, Ultraconservatism, Nationalism, Anti Establishment, Anti Semitism, Hard Anti EU, Conspiracism

Razem = Democratic Socialism, Progressivism, Pro Europeanism, only true left wing party.

    17. HamsterbackenBLN on

Didn’t they throw PIS out in the last elections ?

    18. Liberals just lie, don’t do anything and expect to win elections. Sad.

Looking at all the political development in eastern Europe. Maybe it would make more sense when western European countries build an alliance like the EU without eastern Europe. Its clearly not working despite the massive grow of wealth in countries like Romania or Poland. They get billions every year from western European countries but still vote for anti EU parties.

    20. runhumans on

Wait there are two more Parties RIGHT of Pis? Come on Poland what’s wrong with you..

    21. AdminEating_Dragon on

      Just some notes:

      – Lewica and Razem had ran together last time and got 8.6%. So the actual polling result for the overall Left is 11.6%, higher than the last parliamentary election.

      – As you can see from the graphs, PiS was still first in the 2023 election, PO has closed the gap since.

      – The biggest problem is the rise of the even-more-far-right-than-PiS parties, Konfederacja and Braun’s Nazi party.

How the fuck can be a Far-Right Party legal in Poland. The Nazis almost wiped out the country from the map. How Polish People can support such a party? I’m amaized. I think their granddads are rotating in their graves
