Countries wouldn’t want to join NATO if it wasn’t for Russian aggression.

    2. EffortNo2292 on

US always ready to be kind with Russia at other’s expenses.

    3. Remarkable how much support Trump has for turning the US into Russia’s doormat.

With a ‘Made in China’ sticker underneath for extra insult.

    4. Key_Wrangler_8321 on

Correction: russia is going to dictate its demands on NATO non-expansion to the USA. Stenographer Kellogg, speaking on behalf of russias loyal servant Trump..

“We don’t want to be a part of NATO but we want to dictate who’s in it and where it can go” – This administration

    6. Notbadconsidering on

Which way is the US facing today? Is Trump taking it in the mouth or bussy? It’s honestly just exhausting trying to keep up.

    7. Accurate_Pie_ on

I never cared for any politicians, but these people that we have today are beyond horrible. Beyond despicable.

Russia already has security agreements. The problem is that the Russians don’t stick to them. What is the point of more agreements with Russia?

that Kellog makes me think of Keitel hitler’s general. Always behaving as his führer’s lackey. So much both shitbags share the same caracter.

I thought trump was walking away from this situation

    11. UpperCardiologist523 on

But wait, I’ve heard Nato never made that promise?

    12. dcoffe01 on

What an embarrassment. Russia invaded Ukraine in 2014 long before there was any discussion about Ukraine joining NATO.

    13. Edguy111 on

In exchange for what a cease fire? To regroup and re-attack in 1-2 years? Fuck the trump administration…

There is a complete and total disconnect between “nato non-expansion” and so-called peace talks. What does the direct targeting of ukr civilians and civilian infrastructure (schools, hospitals, malls, markets, et al) have to do with nato? Nothing. The Ukrainian Rada voted no to NATO membership in 2010 and yet, here we are. Ukr interest in nato membership was, of course, rekindled after russia annexed Crimea and continued its interference and military intervention in ukr’s east. All this, and the full scale invasion of ukr, of course, promoted Finland and Sweden to join nato after decades of neutrality (no nato membership). This russian “demand” is a non sequitur, a red herring issue that only leads to negotiations on a false premise. Another russian ‘moving target’ of demands and discussion points that simply mask russia’s real motivations for this war, among others, expansionism, elimination o weakening of ukr as a ‘competing’ Slavic state, monopoly of resources (mining and agriculture), russian hegemony.

    15. Most-Earth5375 on

What about talking about guarantees of Russian non-expansion too? Or is it just once again concessions from one side?

    16. Ritari_Assa-arpa on

That discussion should be short: any country have right to join.

    17. true-skeptic on

Russia doesn’t get to have a voice on this issue. Doesn’t NATO exist to prevent of Soviet aggression, or at least deter it? And doesn’t the current state of now Russian affairs prove that point? Fk Putin.

    18. Vogel-Kerl on

Congratulations trump & Kellogg, you’re officially putin’s little bitches.

Get ready, soon Vladimir is going to request sexual favours from the two of you.

    19. Gallienus91 on

Only because they want to invade again in a few years. This peace doesn’t work without serious security guarantees.

    20. MarkB66478 on

US is going to leave NATO so it’s none of their business.

    21. Infrared_Herring on

Watching the US bend over for Russia at every opportunity is pathetic.

    22. ProUkraine on

It’s time to kick the Americans out of negotiations. Get the Europeans in.

    23. differentshade on

Basically it means anybody not in yet will be in Russian “sphere” to be bullied. Wtf

    24. Sweaty-Feedback-1482 on

Sooo the US signed an agreement when Ukraine gave away its nukes, that if Russia attacked, we’d have their back. But instead of doing that we’re working to make sure they can’t even have NATO get their back?

If Trump is a cloak and dagger Russian asset, how exactly would his actions be different than they are now?

    25. followtharulez on

Can’t join NATO. That’s like a bully demanding you victim be handcuffed for the next beating? Ugh…

    26. Worvrammu on

It’s an outrage that Ukraine has to beg to join NATO. NATO should beg Ukraine to please, please join.

I want the Ukrainians at our side.
