I find it a bit funny whenever something similar happens, like incorrect information about traffic jams and there is suddenly a column of cars driving over a barely existing roads.

In general Google Maps has been lagging behind other navigation apps for me in Germany. Apple Maps doesn’t think I am jumping around from street to street when in a tunnel and MagicEarth is more reliable with speed cameras (and also does not jump around).
Google Maps also doesn’t seem to understand speed limit rules in Germany. I even suspect the really slow drivers are relying on it for the speed limit instead of noticing the street signs. It is very often that the 30 signs have special rules like only applying from 22:00 to 06:00 or on weekdays from 8:00 to 16:00.
I haven’t tried Waze, but I am happy with MagicEarth, it’s free, based on OpenStreMaps and made by an EU company as well.

“Chaos”? More like inconvenience.

Maybe one should actually bother reading the street signs and not their smartphone
