Often people complain of the brutalist style of these Socialist buildings and yet all of these Socialist blocks had a lot of green area around them. As a contrast, modern blocks built recently have significantly less green area.
Options: ugly with a lot of greenery or modern with next to no greenery.

This is still better than housing crisis, so if possible to built this and have no issues with housing – it is better.

I live in one like that in New Belgrade and i love the whole neighborhood. There is a lot of green space, we have kindergarden, school, sport courts, green market, people are chill and nice. Bunch of parking space. City center is 15min on bus
Building is not ideal mainly for small elevator and narrow corridors. But for something which is more than a 50yrs old it is very functional, sound and heat insulation is amazing, flat is nice and full of light.
It is maybe one of the ugliest building from the outside, but its a very good place to live and its been like that for a looong time.

Some commie blocks look quite nice. These don’t but I think they can be freshened up a little. Fresh looking commie blocks do exists.
