Make it legal, let people grow 3 plants each.
Sell it in registered government owned shops and watch the gang violence and stealing of electricity fall. Its the law which causes the real harm, not the plant.

Making these pot plants illegal is so stupid. It’s just pissing in the wind and causing this sort of thing to happen, and I say this as someone who has never used the stuff.

They should legalise and regulate it, that’s the fastest way to put a stop to this. It would generate a hell of a lot of taxes too.

Legalise it
We are already the largest producer of medical grade cannabis on the planet

I may or may not have tried cannabis once, long time ago, and if I did I absolutely hated it. But even someone like me can tell this is the policing equivalent of repainting the fourth bridge.
It doesn’t matter how many millions of taxpayer pounds (and valuable police time) you waste on ripping out cannabis farms, another one will always spring up right in its place elsewhere. Where there is demand supply will always follow. And research suggests that cannabis has never been so potent or ubiquitous as it is now.
And we’re doing all of this for what? A drug that is empirically less harmful than alcohol?? Come on.

A story as old as the hills.
This brings to mind the quote about insanity and expecting different results from identical behaviour.

Through my own personal experience you can set up a grow in a room without anybody in the street knowing. It’s not particularly expensive to set up and it can bring in thousands every few months. The ones that get caught are usually caught because they are sloppy or don’t buy the correct equipment that masks the smell
Whole houses are more difficult but not impossible to achieve the same effect e.g. not easily detectable.
It’s about time it was legalised. Not so much because of the crime aspect as realistically it has little impact on others. This isn’t cocaine or heroin and most of the single room setups are low level dealers that are lining their own pockets. Most of these people have day time jobs and even families. Others simply do it as a hobby of which they might or might not sell to others.
But because it’s wasting police time. Police time that could be used on more serious crimes.
If you want any details about how this processes work, feel free to ask away. I spent a long time in this “field” many years ago.

Ex pot smoker here, legalize and sell it in dispensaries and tax it. Make it real good stuff so shithead criminals can’t profit off it anymore.

It’s ridiculous that it’s still illegal particularly when loads of states in America have legalised it.
The Labour and Tory stance on it has always been baffling. I remember Blair made it class C and then what seemed like mere months later put it back to B.
The Lib Dems, Reform and Greens all pledge to legalise it and I believe the LDs and Greens always have.

So it is legal where i live, nothing could be better for me personally as I have chronic pain and little to no appetite. MMJ is incredibly helpful and brings in tons of income for the state.

Its already legal medically…. I get prescribed high thc flowers… i see no reason for it being illegal recreationally or somehow still being class b, should be at least C since its got medicinal properties

I hated visiting America because the streets all reeked of this disgusting drug. I’m so disappointed that we’re moving towards legalising this psychoactive bullshit.
I get not charging for possession, but these dealers know exactly what they’re doing and don’t care.
