Ankara Pride, the umbrella organization for LGBTI+ groups at the Turkish capital, hung a trans flag on the city’s historic fortress – where thousands will see.
Statement:
“We salute the Ankara Pride 2025! We are at the heart of Ankara with our colours, resistance, and existence. The trans flag we hung on the Ankara Castle is a reminder against the ignorance, bans, and hate: We are here, and we are not leaving! This city is ours, this resistance is ours. May Pride Month begin!”

What about the “trans” regime

interesting, but not too symbolic nor stunning/brave protest.
trans right is still a niche issue, especially in Turkey. I don’t think this is going to change hearts and minds. I think people will look at this action and see what they want to see.

What are the legal grounds for the ban?

Stand tall. Every day you exist, is a day that you resist and rebel.
Against bastards who know nothing, want you living in denial and self hate, or they want you fucking dead.
Deny them the satesfaction. Your smiles hurt them more than you could possibly imagine.

Erdogan having Ramadan iftar with revered Turkish post op trans woman artist Bulent Ersoy
Conservative governments around the world view the recent heavy push for LGBT groups/rights as a covert attack on society and the family structure by the west and not necessarily about LGBT rights.
