Cant even stop people landing on boats but wants to fight a war……..

Not sure anyone in the UK really wants to go fight and die in Starmers Folly

Pointless unless we have men (yes men, not people) willing to fight and die. Which we are severely lacking in.

Lasers, drones, and AI. Plus our new Skynet satellites have passed their first stage tests. It all sounds very familiar.

I thought we were getting Dad’s Army back up an running.

Usual rubbish but defence spending has been so underfunded for years.

another war for the lower class to fight and die in while the rich sit back and sip their cups of tea

The investment in directed energy weapon developments is a must if we ever hope to develop an effective counter against drone swarms.

Think a few people here are misunderstanding “war-fighting posture” as Starmer actively wanting to actively engage in a war. Not really sure how that benefits him but there we go.

It’s been very clear that our Armed Forces aren’t at the level of combat readiness should they need to deploy, and in this current world climate, that is a real possibility. This is to correct that.

They’re just going to use the excuse of “increased defence spending” to siphon public money into firms like Palantir… It’s the same playbook everytime and it always works

We’ve heard this before. But interesting how the war in Ukraine has largely been conducted the same way as it has for millennia. Mud and blood. Gutter fighting.

Unfortunately we do need to get back into a fighting posture. As we’ve seen in Ukraine, a small country well trained and armed to the teeth can hold out against a much larger force, and as we’ve seen in Israel, you get flattened if you can’t at least match the technology level of your opponent.

We don’t have the luxury of a reliable USA, and clearly the UN is so tied up with bureaucracy that we’d likely only get help from our direct neighbours if we were attacked. If you want peace, prepare for war, as the saying goes.

We pay engineers and other science based grads the lowest in the western world. Why would talented individuals develop this for 35k in the uk?

It’s funny hearing this all when the general staff that will be commanding the “war fighting posture” organised such great operations in Ukraine such as ‘Cross the death river then sit in a hole getting bombed for 8 months’, ‘take a lightly defended city across the border with a single supply road then sit about while that road gets bombed’ or their best one ‘drive into minefields for a couple months hoping the russians just leave their positions like they did in ’22’

Am I fuck getting drafted into any war that hasn’t had these clowns arrested as a first step
