      > Once received, the online reports are logged by garda staff at the Garda Information Services Centre (GISC) who then forward the reports to the superintendent in the relevant area to progress.

      > A member of An Garda Síochána is then appointed to investigate the complaint, contacting the person who submitted the report to ascertain what occurred, whether there were any other witnesses and to take a written statement.

So what’s the fucking point in it then?

as long as we have FFG in government garda will never be held responsible for being useless

But even reporting dangerous driving directly to the Gardai results in zero action in most cases. I’ve gone today the trouble of making statements, submitting dashcam footage and nothing happens. Useless as they have no interest.

The gardai really don’t care about road traffic offences.

They only enforce them when they are forced to.

I can envisage a point soon, people will be able to claim the footage captured of them was AI altered and not from a legitimate source, further gumming up the system.

Garda are only interested in sitting on a motorway off ramp, and having the buzz of chasing a car doing 130kmph, while they do 160kmph to catch up.

Makes zero sense, when we have GoSafe vans that can take a photo and no need for a chase.

I can’t understand the negativity in the comments. This is well over 1%. Almost 2%.
