Nah. What the Ukrainians did was far more impressive.

The important point that made these two operations successful is keeping away “an ally” who is not loyal.

a better comparison would be 9/11 in thats its a smart way of attacking that has never been done before. multi prong strike deep into enemy territory that will forever change security, warfare, and transport by unveiling a existing vulnerability we were all blind to.

strictly comparing types of attacks ignoring the whole morality and other differences between Ukraine defending itself and terrorist.

they just can’t help putting US at the center of the universe every single time can they lmao

No, it isn’t. While the Bin Laden raid was huge, it was fairly conventional in we tracked someone down via intel and sent SEALS in which isn’t new. Ukraine getting drones smuggled in then attacking 4 airfields at once is easily far above the raid.

And the three days special military operation rank with?

Yeah sure… killing some dude in a house in Pakistan with a team of navy seals is totally equivalent to taking out one third of the stratetic bomber force of russia in a never before seen fashion.

I welcome all refutations of this administration re: Ukraine. The majority of people here in the US are with Ukraine, and that’s a solid fact in the polling.

Slava Ukraini. Those poll numbers did not come from our politicians!!!

The revenge killing of a Pakistani shut-in where they managed to lose a helicopter in a crash landing is definitely on par with the largest single day destruction of strategic bombers since WW2.

So an SF raid in a pretty friendly country, under very little resistance ranks with one of the most audacious and successful attacks in history… pfft, please.

I beg to differ…this was next level…only comparable mission would be Entebbe

In it’s ingenuity I’d say it’s like the dambusters raid

They crashed the fucking helicopter during the bin laden raid

What? Two chopters worth of spec ops ppl go in,kill an old terrorist in hiding plus his bodyguards, lose the other chopter in the process(iirc?) and fly out. Meanwhile, Ukraine just crippled significant portion of russian strategic bomber fleet. In magnitude and scale, rift between these ooerations is same as the one between killing of Bin Laden and me taking a shit this morning. Requires some obscene, hillarious levels of American exceptionalism to even be able to compare these, lol.

He thinks this is a compliment but actually it’s an insult.

How many years did it take them to get Osama Bin Laden? And how many trillions were spent? And how many Osama Bin Ladens were successfully eliminated? And how much collateral damage was there?

    16. Nupnupnup776 on

      Killing osama was just revenge.

Destroying 1/3 of bomber fleet is reducing threat and lowering enemy bombing capacity. There is nothing to compare between those operations.
