From the article: Russian President Vladimir Putin on June 4 questioned the value of ongoing peace talks with Ukraine, accusing Kyiv of orchestrating deadly attacks on infrastructure in Russia that killed seven people and injured 115 others.

Two bridges in Russia’s Bryansk and Kursk regions collapsed overnight on May 31 in what Russian authorities have described as terrorist attacks.

Putin blamed Ukraine’s top leadership for the attacks: “The current Kyiv regime does not need peace at all,” he said during a televised meeting with senior officials. “What is there to talk about? How can we negotiate with those who rely on terror?”

He added that the attacks showed Kyiv is “degenerating into a terrorist organisation, and its sponsors are becoming accomplices of terrorists.”

Putin’s remarks signaled that Russia has no plans to declare an immediate ceasefire or agree to a meeting with President Volodymyr Zelensky — two key demands put forward by Ukraine during June 2 peace talks.

Of course he rejects. That guy is just an oil price drop away from getting gaddafi’ed.
He is scared as hell now.

    3. From the assholes that send long range missiles at hospitals, and playgrounds and nurseries… Fuck your bridges and fuck your feelings russia.

    4. If you invade a country you can’t go and complain when your shit gets blown up lol

    5. Firm-Sandwich8087 on

Seriously, they need to take him out of the picture and try again with the replacement. Will it probably be the same or worse? Maybe, but at this point, they might as well be negotiating with a brick wall.

Russia accuses Ukraine of attacking a bridge in the wee hours so innocents wouldn’t be hurt, as if that’s a bad thing.

    7. Creepy_Wash338 on

Accuses Ukraine…who else would’ve done it? Tahiti?

So Zelenskyy, Macron, Starmer, Merz, Tusk, and Trump’s golfing buddy Stubb are flying straight to DC to show this to Trump and pressure him to support sanctions, right? Right?

I always thought Popov was the biggest clown Russia had produced, but this little imp is even more hilarious.

    11. Deep_Blue_Kitsune on

Well the bridge has no business being there in the first place

      Typical Russians.

What Putin does in public is an accurate reflection of what his fellow Russians on the lower rungs of Russia’s ~~society~~ warlike **caste system** want.

He and the rest of his 140 million compatriots are the biggest whiners and most **un**lovable losers out there by a country mile. When they’re not trying to exterminate non-Russians, they snivel on the sidelines about how *unfair* life has been for them and how they’re history’s biggest victims deserving of everyone else’s sympathy and understanding simply because they exist as the “victimized” direct descendants of the Gоldеn Ноrdе’ѕ staunchest ~~collaborators~~ *bootlickers*.

The Russians have proven to be congenitally incapable of admitting that their suffering is **self-inflicted** . How else could it be when their sordid history as “Russians” is just a centuries-long reel of genocidal colonialism. That’s hardly a way to advance humanity or even show basic respect for other people. What distinguishes the “Russians” from their ancestors in Muscovy is that as “Russians” they’ve shaped “Russia” as nothing more than the neo-GоІdеn Ноrdе by invading and exterminating everyone around them the length and breadth of Eurasia right after their ~~country~~ **extortion racket** came into being in 1547 at Ivan the Terrible’s self-coronation as the first czar in a podunk town nestled in the swamps along the Moskva river.

Yeah, that’s it. Double down. You’re not going to win this and likely won’t be able to keep what you stole, but keep at it and lose…harder?

Accuses? They made it pretty clear that it was them. The Russian intelligence services really suck at their job, don’t they?

Fear is uncertainty. That is fear is the feeling when you don’t know what is going to happen.

If it were me I would send the US a list of plans they don’t plan to use, in different contingencies. Since it will get leaked to the Russians. Or make them uncomfortable enough they may pressure the Russians.

Like we plan to disrupt small towns by eliminating local law enforcement if the Ukrainian government falls.

Infiltrate organized crime to fund the fight from inside russia.

Kidnap russians, particularly high profile russians children in Moscow and sell them into the Russian military as shock troopers. Using the funds to self sustain. Etc.

Then say this is the list of plans that aren’t good enough. Real plans are a state secret and agents behind enemy lines know them, and may or may not use them if circumstances require it.

      Just make the Russians uncertain.

How is it deadly if there was no casualties, no one even on that bridge?

Also, nice dodge on the fact you lost 40 bombers lately, Vlad. Pride hurting a bit?

Stop pretending there is a diplomatic solution. All Russia has done and will do is try to murder civilians. Decimate their infrastructure. Hack their entire internet service and broadcast non stop images of dead Russians. Make THEIR civilians live in a perpetual state of unrest and fear. Russia is delusional and weak. Keep punching them in the nose. Stop asking for cease fires they won’t give willingly. Beat them into submission. It is literally the only way they will stop. Destroy everything that makes their civilians feel like they are living a normal life and fighting a war that is just. Hammer them over and over in new and interesting ways. Make them paranoid and unsure. Eventually enough people will get sick of the bullshit and a window will open for them to remove Putin. Don’t let up on them. Don’t pretend there is some path to diplomacy. These people don’t have any interest in peace. So bring the war to their door as loudly and as often as possible. Recruit disgruntled Russians to wreak sabotage on their factories and recruitment centers. Broadcast this shit globally. Keep repeating the truth through megaphones. Russia only changes course when forced to. So force them.

This is so loaded with projection from Russia that I’m laughing my ass off

“Putin said the Ukraine’s position “does not surprise us” and added that “power for (Kyiv), apparently, is more important than peace and than the lives of people whom they apparently do not consider their own.”

Oh just go and fuck allllll the way off. Lying hypocrite.

    21. RiverMurmurs on

Yeah, I understand that a deadly bridge attack is taking it a bit too far.

Orcs obviously live in a parallel universe. They are totally detached from reality

Everything they do to Ukraine is justified and nothing is to be done to them in response

I know it would prob be a waste of of precious tactical resources, but it seems like a great time to swarm a few hundred drones over to Crimea and hit the Kerch with like 3-4 Storm Shadows or SCALPS. Just to fuck with them

Notice, it’s 3,5 days now and There are still no suspects. Compare with other acts, during the day they were known and even detained.

Eleven years ago it wasn’t Russia, it was Ukrainian Crimea. That’s why the G8 became the G7, but Obama didn’t go far enough then. Much better to use the Bridge’s main spans (vehicular and train), as fish habitat at the bottom of the Kerch Strait.
