It was increasingly the belief that only 12-15 planes were destroyed/damaged. This video puts that idea to rest. Many more planes were damaged but fuel or missiles weren’t set on fire to be easily visible in satellite pictures. However, it’s still not entirely clear the extent of the damage as many seem to have just taken shrapnel damage from small explosive devices. But if they hit avionics, the engine etc, then a lot of them which still have airworthy frames might now require extensive refitting and mothballing.

I guess all those tires helped make sure the planes burned down completely.
