Free speech warriors lose the head when you make a harmless joke using catholic iconography.
Catholics when they make a gay joke: “Ah lighten up it’s only a joke”
Catholics when gays make a catholic joke: “OMG, blasphemy! Hate speech!”
When the folk tradition is to put it under a bush in the garden to affect the weather, it’s a bit rich to start claiming you’re offended by this.
A classy move from Mayo Pride, but it sends the wrong message- There was nothing wrong with the post.
They shouldve went through with it. Its not like they’re asking fun of islam where thered be serious consequences.

It’s ok, sometimes even pride groups get it wrong, and yes, this was in bad taste. It’s ok to admit that.
They issued their apology and changed policy to presumably prevent it happening again. Everyone moves on.
