How dare you strike at enemy military targets during a war. Putin calls it terrorism. You’re supposed to hit residential buildings, like Russia does.

I love to see the comedian shine through! The operation must have been such a relief for him to allow him a moment of ease and giggles. Many more of those please!

So what about invading a sovereign country and killing the civilians i.e. Bucha 🙏🏻….does that violate international law?

    4. Skin_Floutist on

The only countries violating international law right now are ruzzia and izrael.

    5. FutureFriendly8738 on

This has to be one of the most stupid questions. What about the thousands of civilians killed by Russia? Does that violate international law?!

    6. Lost-Childhood843 on

This was the DEFINITION of a strategic military strike. The absolute OPPOSITE of terrorism.

I’m pretty sure Trump and the American military are shocked by Operation Spiderweb and its success. It also highlights the weaknesses of the American armed forces. Theoretically, it’s now proven that very significant damage can be inflicted with relatively little effort. Who says it always has to be bombers? There are other worthwhile targets. And a long-range, viper-optic drone launched from the spot cannot be stopped, even with jamming devices.

“Our enemy is dissolutely destroying our planes peacefully bombing their cities”

    9. KeeperServant_Reborn on

How many women and children did the Russians violate, huh?!

To see Zelensky smile and laugh like this really warms the heart.

Wish this f*cking nightmare war was over. I would love to visit Ukraine.
      The home of the brave!

this is the first time since before the war where ive seen him genuinely laughing and smiling

This man. His charisma. His determination. His calmness. His seriousness. His patience.
      What a legend.

Then imagine being Putin. Being hated or feared by most. Hiding in his basement. Being a desease to humanity.

      Go Zelenski!

What the fuck is wrong with these people? Why does Ruzzia always get a break with the press? Is it because of Tolstoy? Tchaikovsky? Rachmaninoff ?The Ballet? I mean Jesus Christ they are barbaric animals that attacked their neighbor, raped their women and kidnapped their children.

    15. Rarely-Social on

Its just nice to see that man smile. Heavy is his responsibility yet he carries it with such integrity, and even in some cases, humor.

    16. Weak_Tower385 on

They violated Putin in a most wonderful way. More violations to come until that a** dehydrates.

    17. Polygnom on

      What should they have violated?

Like, what exactly are some media shills accusing Ukraine of violating?

They struck legitimate military targets. Smuggling the drones in my have been illegal under Russian law, but its not a crime under international law for a country at war to do so.

Sabotage is not illegal or a war crime, either.

So I’d love to see what exactly they are saying Ukraien did violate.

    18. So this reporter (and others) seems to think that military aircraft that are launching strikes against Ukrainian cities are somehow immune from attack?
Russia attacked Ukraine. They blitz civilians. Somehow it is ok to launch 1000 bomber raids on Nazi Germany but not to retaliate against Fascist Russia.

    19. StopSignsAreRed on

See how relaxed he is as he answers? That’s the posture of a man who has nothing to hide and who knows he has the most innovative, ingenious military backing him up with strategic solutions that work. Love to see it.

    20. Low-Cartographer-753 on

      Fucking love this man.

Wish he was my president instead of Trump.

    21. Bowler_Pristine on

In Russia they appear to think war only occurs on other people in other countries, and as soon as they feel it, now it’s ‘terrorism’.

    22. MNGopherfan on

Striking military planes on a military airfield during a military conflict with zero casualties civilian or otherwise.

Where exactly have the rules been broken? This seems like the perfect military operation this is the kind of stuff western governments dreamed of during the Cold War.

    23. HURTz_56 on

I’m pretty sure we are going to have a loud night here in Kyiv some time soon. No military strategic targets will be hit. Only residential housing.

    24. just_a_pawn37927 on

Zelensky’s smile at the end, haven’t see that in years! That tells me he believes in Ukraine winning!

    25. FitConsideration6529 on

How does he do it? I just cannot fathom how one man can be so unbelievably cool in situations whilst being the leader of the country whilst dealing with the destruction of his homeland and an unhinged US president.

    26. OppositeAd389 on

Fucking joke it is. Military invasion justifies military targets on others homeland

    27. Is this the same international law which has been protecting the Ukrainian people? How ungrateful of them, taking matters into their own hands.

    28. MedicineOk788 on

What was the name and credentials of the reporter who asked this question?

    29. International law? More like international joke, these international laws are as useless as the Un and it’s pathetic permanent members

This question of Geneva Convention violation came up in a conversation amongst friends yesterday, so I checked the text. My assessment is that the only potential issue would be Protocol I, Article 37, which might cover impersonation of a civilian vehicle for military purposes; however, it can be strongly argued that Ukraine didn’t impersonate any civilian vehicle. The containers were unmarked (the ones I’ve seen) and no civilian emergency-type vehicles were impersonated. Containers are used for military purposes all the time and, moreover, no humans of any classification were killed in the attack, so no way — Ukraine is NOT in violation.

Edit: to be clear, that article of the convention only pertains to perfidy, which is why I think it’s ambiguous at best to apply it to vehicles.

    31. Reddit_reader_2206 on

Why is no one asking putler if the massacre in Bucha was legal?

    32. TheMikeyMac13 on

It’s a freaking war, and those were military targets, what a stupid question.
