      > Sports Direct ‘ripping off’ customers with misleading deals

      They sell big mugs,
and they sell to big mugs.

      Rather appropriate, really.

    2. I wouldn’t be surprised if most of those RRPs will probably be for brands owned/licensed by Sports Direct so aren’t sold anywhere other than a Frasers Group (Mike Ashley) retailer.

Mike Ashley being a prick? No way. It’s so out of character

Charging £5 for store delivery is the biggest piss take.

I am shocked and surprised. You’ll be telling me next Sports Direct aren’t a good employer and their goods are not good quality.

    6. A lot of their “two for…” deals are also a bit of a con.

You have to buy two *identical* items. Not even different colours of the same item, based on my last attempt to buy some gym shorts.

    7. Also read somewhere that you can’t return goods bought in store and get your money back. They only offer store credit. That’s big enough of a issue I won’t buy from them

I went for an interview there about 20 years ago, they had a bunch of us there.

Asked me why I applied “my job isn’t enough hours”, guy next to me “job centre sent me”

They told me literally every reason why stuff is done, it’s basically to make everything cheap when there are basically no margins on anything.

I mean they’ve been doing this for decades and Which only just noticed?

Next you’ll be telling me they only just noticed Amazon’s discounts are priced vs their RRP rather than vs their actual previous selling price.

Well durr that’s their entire business model. Don’t shop there.

Hardly a surprise is it? Was obvious they make up the RRP to make the deal sound better

Why am i not in the slightest bit surprised? Business be businessing.

What actual difference does this make? I don’t even look at the discount. I look at the price it’s being sold for. It could have 95% off written on it and I’m still not going to buy it if it’s overpriced. Does anyone actually trust any “bargains” from anywhere anymore? I don’t.

Same as the Go Outdoors membership card, you can get the same products at Blacks and Millets at the membership price without having to spend a fiver for the privilege!

Stop going to Fraser Group shops and expecting something good to come from it.

I pointed out their in store price was higher than their online price, and they would only match it with the delivery fee added on.

I’ve always assumed these RRPs were bollocks and the the shoes Sports Direct stock are often seconds, batches with flaws, etc.
