We should convert the planning system to AI so people can receive the rejections a lot faster 💀
Why is a tract of land in the docklands (brownfield site) zoned for educational use in the first place? That’s bizzare.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but zoning plans are voted on by local councillors with heavy input from both them and public consultation. So the political system signed off on it.
An Bord Pleanála have to refer to zoning plans and local development plans when making decisions and can’t wildly diverge from them in their decision making (or else they’ll end up in the High Court).
So while this guy may criticize faceless berauocrats, at least some of his mates at local level voted for this outcome.
